I have to second that, Vogel.

Dr Schauss actually came to Australia last year for the EMv launch and appeared as a guest speaker.

During the entire presentation, Schauss spoke using terminology which was virtually impossible for anyone without the same vocational background to understand, spoke only of acai rather than Monavie’s products AND in promotion of the “opportunity” concluded that money that money was important not only to a person’s happiness but health also. Good one d*ckhead.

My guess is that, among other sources of Monavie-related revenue, Schauss made a good chunk of his dough from the sales of his books and CDs to the sales force. I think that essentially, Monavie give out a de facto sublicence to rape the distrbutors to guys like Schauss. In exchange, he puts his (bogus) credentials and endorsement behind the product and goes around teaching distributors how to make the snakeoil pitch.

Maybe at the time of the CD he didn’t work for MonaVie, but he has been listed on their website as being on their Scientific Board (http://monavie.com/company/scientific-board).

Furthermore, Schauss started a company in 2000-2001 called K2A that made a product called Opti-acai, which it sold to MonaVie as far as back as 2005 – http://r3gteam.homestead.com/Jeff_Graham_on_MonaVie.pdf.

If he mentioned that he didn’t work for MonaVie, he’s may have been technically correct, but like everything with MonaVie, it is a statement meant to mislead people. He most certainly has had a business arrangement with MonaVie since the beginning of MonaVie. In fact, as supplier of the acai, he surely profited a lot more than simply “working for MonaVie.”

I’m reminded of a CD by Alex Schauss, Science of Acai, or something like that, anyway, he said that he doesn’t work for Monavie, but isn’t he on some board of scientists working for Monavie? Just wondering…

Again, people he comes into contact with are in all likelihood going to be of the mistaken belief that he knows what he’s talking about and what he’s doing (perhaps he does but doesn’t care) but at the end of the day he’s a liability to all – especially his family and friends.

Tom, I have a Masters degree from the UC Davis School of Food Science and Technology. I have been a food scientist for over thirty years. I have worked as a microbiologist a a fruit juice processing plant for five years.

I could just have easily said that I was a clerk at 7-11, and it would not have changed the well-documented studies about MonaVie in the least.

Please show the reputable publications that Dr. Schauss published. We have discussed many and Dr. Schauss only showed that people should not drink MonaVie.

Don’t worry about Pharmacist Paul Clayton… he did enough to ruin his own reputation in the comments here. To start with, watch your lies, he does not (and has never) teached at Oxford University. He is an advisor to Wellmune (the reason why MonaVie created M(Mun))… so he’s clearly biased. He admitted to being paid to speak about it. Also realize that the Royal Society of Medicine is something that any pharmacist can easily join… which is why Pharmacist Paul Clayton is in it…

… by the way, my wife is a pharmacist. I went to ApHA and there were 100+ pharmacists in the room when Vogel (a recent commenter here) sent medical information about MonaVie’s vitamin K being potentially harmful for people on Warfarin (MonaVie admits this)…

So why do we care about biased Paul Clayton again?

Dr Schauss is a great scientist – he published a lot of great work in reputable publications – recently together with NIH scientists.

Maybe you should also try to destroy another scientist’s credentials – Dr Paul Clayton – he is teaching at Oxford University and is a big fan of MonaVie new product (M)mune – he is a fellow at the Royal Society of Medicine. Try to find something on him too – you ……
